Master of Arts
Purpose: The Master of Arts degree is designed to provide
a foundational understanding of one of five designated
areas—New Testament, Old Testament, Apologetics, History or
Doctrine—as a basis for further graduate study or for
general educational purposes.
Emphasis: The focus is on scholarly research, with
special attention on writing a thesis or guided research.
Time Frame: The M.A. is a 54-hour degree that
normally takes two years or less for a full-time student to complete.
Students admitted with advanced standing may complete
the program in as few as 36 hours.
