Storrs Road Church of Christ, a congregation of 50 located in eastern Connecticut between the University of Connecticut and Eastern Connecticut State University, seeks a minister to work with an established eldership to nurture a diverse congregation and to assist in evangelism of the local community. A Bachelors Degree in Bible is required and Masters Degree is desired. We are a committed group with a number of strengths, but our small size constrains the financial support that we can provide. We can offer a full-time salary of $50,000 for a limited number of years at our present size. However, we will also consider applications from vocational ministers or from those interested in pursuing graduate studies while working as a part-time minister. Ripley is a congregation of approximately 300 members with an 86 year history. The congregation has three Elders and ten Deacons. Ripley, MS is a town of 6,000 people located in north Mississippi 80 miles southeast of Memphis and 45 miles north of Tupelo. The congregation owns a 3,000+ square foot brick preacher’s home next door to the church building. The home is set for complete renovation during the summer/fall of 2009. The Tri-Valley Church of Christ, in Livermore, CA is seeking a full time Youth & Young Adult Minister. Our suburban congregation is located in Northern California, on the east end of the beautiful San Francisco Bay-Area. We have an average Sunday attendance of 185, and the church is currently led by five elders. The Y/YA Minister will work with junior high and high school students in a variety of areas, including: faith development, spiritual growth, outreach, service, and leadership training. He will also help lead a weekly small group for young adults (ages 18-29). A candidate must be able to work effectively with our current deacons over Jr.HS and HS ministries, youth staff, parents, and with the current pulpit minister and office administrator. The Church of Christ in Mesa, Arizona is looking for a young man to work with our congregation. Our regular Sunday morning attendance averages approximately 500 members and we are led by 6 shepards. We are located about 20 miles east of Phoenix. We are looking for a man who has a great desire to serve the Lord. A degree in Bible or youth ministry is preferred, but not required. Job Description: The Youth Minister, working at the direction of the Mesa shepherds, will mentor and develop the spiritual growth and moral maturity of the Mesa youth, seventh grade through completion of high school. Biblically sound doctrinal teaching will be the foundation upon which the youth minister will base this ministry and supporting programs. Counsel individual Mesa youth on spiritual, moral, and family relationship issues as necessary 4. Prepare youth for service and leadership 5. Establish youth programs that develop hearts of service, compassion, and love within the youth of the Mesa congregation 8. Provide encouraging and motivational devotionals 9. Provide frequent interface with parents of youth group 10. Meet weekly with shepherds regarding youth ministry strengths, weaknesses, and challenges 11. Participates with other staff members in accomplishing the mission of the Mesa congregation as established by the shepherds 12. Advise and assist parents, staff, shepherds and the congregation in general in understanding and overcoming generational communication challenges 13. Develops and maintains a monthly and quarterly calendar of events 14. Communicates and coordinates with Power team for logistical support requirements 15.
